Who's a busy boy then?

I've been up since 3.20 this morning. Whenever I have an early night this happens. I was in bed by 11 last night because I was so tired and sure as eggs is eggs I was awake at stupid o'clock. I stayed in bed tossing and turning till 5o'clock and then got up and recorded this week's Pure Grooves show. Turns out his will be the last one at this time on Solar Radio as I'm getting a new time as from next week.
That should make it better for my UK listeners to catch the show live.

Whilst I was up this morning, I was looking through my calendar to see what events I'm playing at over the next few months, and it's nice to see I'm being asked to play at more.

First up though is my fortnightly Requestfest at Fen Ditton on March 17th (St. Patrick's Day) I never usually have any idea of what I'm going to play at Requestfests, as it the people there that choose. I would imagine there's a good chance that I'll be playing U2 at the next one though.

After that, I'm booked to do a Skool Disco on the 25th March.

This should be a fun one, and it'll be great if people get into the spirit of the night and don their fancy dress. Always a real laugh when you see guys in their 40s and 50s in school blazers and wearing shorts. Much nicer to look at the ladies though!

On 1st April, it's the second Soul Medicine night, and I'm looking to improve on the first one. This is an event I want to see become the best first Friday of the month in Cambridge. It's great to play soul from right across the genre and if the first one is anything to go by, I'll be playing some right good music!

The following night sees Heavy Soul come to Cambridge. I'm playing in the Motown & Northern Soul room that night as the guest DJ.

In the main room they have Ginger Tony, also from Solar Radio as the guest DJ. I think this is going to be a great night. Tickets are £5 in advance and if you want some get in touch with me as I have some here.

I've also been asked to play at a Charity soul night in June.

Raising money for Children In Need and The Oaks in Over village, this is going to be a great night, with 4 DJs including myself. Tickets are only £5 in advance and its sure to be busy.

Also I'm seeing about putting on an event at Cambridge Snooker Club on May 21st so keep the date open for that night as well. I'll let you know about it when I've confirmed everything.

This evening the 'Flashback' show goes out and I'll post the link and play list later.

See you soon...
