Last night's Requestest, was a bit quieter than normal, but nonetheless, there were still a lot of requests. Talk about not judging a book by its cover.
There are a couple that come to each Requestfest, they look well into their 60s, and until last night had never made a request, and I'd always wondered why they came - and then last night for the first time they made requests - I was expecting them to ask for the likes of Billy Fury or maybe Country and Western - was I surprised, they asked for bands like The Killers, Muse and The Calling! Which proves you never know what's going to be asked for at Requestfest.
